The Knowledge Sharing Program, which is an initiative developed by Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance and Korea Eximbank, held a five-day seminar in Seoul for delegates from SENATICs. SENATICs is the national secretariat for ICT in Paraguay and is tasked with the formulation of ICT policies and the promotion of the access and use of them in the public sector and for citizen services. In line with this mission, SENATICs has engaged with the government of Korea to discuss and formulate a direction for the adoption of the Minwon24 system in Paraguay in order to improve service delivery for its citizens. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the findings from the country analysis to date and to confirm the proposed roadmap for implementation of the system. Furthermore, the team from Paraguay visited the National Information Resources Services, the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and various Community Offices to see up close how administrative services are delivered in Korea. During their time in Korea, the delegation worked closely with the consultants to understand the context of the Minwon24 system development in Korea and derive appropriate lessons that can be applied to the ICT environment in the South American nation. The final dissemination workshop is scheduled for the third week of October in Asunción.
